Elizabeth Delgado, born and raised in Veracruz, Mexico, moved to the United States at the age of 12 with her family while searching for the American Dream. She has been passionate for art and fashion from a very young age. Elizabeth graduated from Burlington County College with a Fashion Design degree, earning Dean’s List recognition and an award for Best in Design in 2010. She was unable to continue her education in Fashion Design, but that did not stop her. With hard work, determination and regardless of any obstacles she continued designing, creating, and showcasing ever since. Elizabeth has now earned a Business Administration degree while still working a full time job and managing her own design company.
Elizabeth was described by faculty nominator Jennifer Maurer as a “young woman who is energized about each and every one of her personal achievements.”
“My dream is to become a well known fashion designer, it may take me a little longer and a lot more effort, but I will accomplish it.”
Her commitment and determination has paid off.
Elizabeth Delgado’s designs have been showcased along the East coast in events such as Philly Fashion Week, Atlantic City Fashion Week, Hispanics Choice Awards, Miss Dominican Republic, and Ital-Cal Wine Fest. Her beautiful designs have also been featured in Institute Magazine, Zélé Magazine, Gloucester County times, Atlantic City weekly, and Fox 29 news. She has also sponsored garments for multiple associates such as Fashion for a Cause – Breast Cancer Awareness.
Elizabeth’s style is elegant, sophisticated, and unique, yet dynamic and daring. She creates unique, made to measure garments while providing her clients with one of a kind experience. Her moto is to create a garment that represents every client’s personality while excelling their own beauty, making her be the sensation of any occasion. Each inspired and influenced by her life experiences and culture, incorporating elements from her Latin heritage into her design esthetic.
“I became a designer because it is one of the things that I enjoy doing the most, I love to create and I feel like I can show my passion and personality through fashion. I believe that fashion is a way to express one’s emotions, it is like a mirror to the soul; everyone has a different style, and that is what make it unique and special.”
